Keba Fastenings unveils two screws for improved efficiency

Iranpolymer/Baspar At Fakuma, Keba Fastenings will introduce two new screws that promise more precision, durability, and sustainability, the POLYMATE20 and EVOmate. These innovative solutions are set to make fastening more efficient in industries that rely heavily on plastics, from automotive to electronics, home appliances, and general industrial applications.
POLYMATE20: stronger, smaller, and more sustainable
The POLYMATE20 is a thread-forming screw designed specifically for plastics. The Turkey-based fastener supplier claims the screw boasts unmatched strength, improved sustainability, and cost-effective manufacturing. Its flank design reduces material deformation and minimises the heat generated during the assembly process. This approach results in stronger, more reliable connections whilst using less material.
Its standardised pre-hole size eliminates the need to calculate clamping part thickness, making the design and assembly process smoother and reducing potential for errors.
EVOmate also features superior durability and strength, offering reliable fastening for a wide range of applications. Its design provides excellent fatigue resistance, high breaking torque, and robust tensile strength. Keba claims it can simplify the assembly process by reducing the need for multiple screw lengths, cutting inventory costs, and simplifying logistics.
The 25° flank angle on EVOmate facilitates optimal thread formation, which minimises stress and enhances the reliability of the fastening. The screw’s thread-forming zone reduces friction, providing a consistent, smooth installation process.
