Morphotonix revolutionises product security with nano engraving technology

Iranpolymer/Baspar Morphotonix is known for its innovative nano engraving technology. Can you explain how this technology works?

Savu: Absolutely! Our nano engraving technology involves creating nano-size engravings directly onto steel moulds. These engravings are replicated during the moulding process on the product or packaging, without any change in production. This is achieved with zero additives or labels, making it an environmentally friendly solution that ensures the product’s authenticity from the moment it’s created.

How does this technology benefit your customers, particularly in terms of product security?

Savu: The key benefit is that our engravings provide a foolproof method of product authentication. Since the engraving is part of the product itself, it remains intact and verifiable throughout the product’s life cycle, even when traditional labels or packaging are no longer present. This significantly reduces the risk of counterfeiting and ensures that consumers receive genuine products.

Sustainability is a major concern for industries today. How does Morphotonix’s technology align with sustainable practices?

Savu: Sustainability is at the core of what we do. Our technology eliminates the need for additional materials like inks, adhesives, or labels, which often end up as waste. By embedding security features directly onto the product, we reduce waste and environmental impact, contributing to a more sustainable manufacturing process.

Can you share an example of how a company has successfully implemented Morphotonix’s technology?

Savu: One of our clients in the high-end consumer goods sector used our nano engraving technology to secure their product line. By integrating our engravings, they saw a dramatic decrease in counterfeit products on the market and received positive feedback from consumers who appreciated the enhanced security and sustainability of the products. In addition, we have streamlined our process to deliver our solution in under three months. This accelerated timeline is made possible by our innovative virtual prototyping approach, which creates a digital twin of the product with the embedded engraving, allowing a simple and rapid decision-making process for the customer before any hardware is processed. This method not only enhances customer satisfaction but also significantly reduces implementation time in production.

How does Morphotonix’s technology impact the overall branding and consumer trust for your clients?

Savu: While most anti-counterfeit solutions focus on protecting the logistical chain, our solution remains visible when the product is in use. This approach strengthens brand integrity by providing a permanent and unalterable mark of authenticity. When consumers see that a product is secured by Morphotonix, they can trust that it is genuine and of high quality. This not only boosts consumer confidence but also reinforces brand loyalty.

What do you see as the future of product security, and how will Morphotonix continue to innovate in this space?

Savu: The future of product security lies in seamless integration with the product itself. We are constantly innovating to make our engravings even more versatile, adapting to new materials and industries. Our goal is to provide every manufacturer with the tools to protect their products in a way that is both secure and sustainable, setting new standards in product authenticity.

We will be present at FAKUMA this year emphasising the ease of use of our solutions – HoliMaker, stand A3-3211, will demonstrate live how our nano-engraved designs perform with a manual injection moulding machine.
