BOREALIS: Polyolefin plastomers range is expanded / Production technology rebranded “Borceed”

Polyolefins specialist Borealis has extended its “Queo” polyolefin plastomers (POP) portfolio through the launch of three polyolefin elastomers (POE) grades. It has also rebranded its “Compact technology” as “Borceed”, a Borealis proprietary solution originally developed and marketed by DSM.
The “Queo” range includes polyolefin plastomers and, with this launch of three grades, elastomers that bridge the performance gap between conventional polyolefin plastics such as PE and conventional elastomers like ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM).

Borceed technology enables flexible materials exhibiting both plastic and elastomeric properties and is the platform supporting Borealis’ “Queo” products. The company said the portfolio expansion enhances its range of high-value speciality PE products for the high-end segments of the automotive, consumer packaging, housewares, and wire and cable industries.
