CHINAPLAS Promotes Green Transformation and Technology Upgrade for Building and Construction Industry

CHINAPLAS 2016 provides advanced environmental friendly plastic raw materials and cutting-edge automation equipment for the green transformation and technology upgrade for the building and construction industry. New products such as plastic pipes, plastic doors and windows made of new materials and light-weighted structures continue to emerge. CHINAPLAS 2016, the 30th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries will be held on 25-28 April 2016, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong, PR China. The exhibition area is over 240,000 sqm, gathering more than 3,300 exhibitors from over the world with pavilions coming from 13 countries and regions, namely Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, PR China, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and USA. Over 3,800 units of machinery equipment and a wide range of plastics and rubber materials will be fully demonstrated. Over 800 exhibitors will introduce technologies which are applied in the building and construction industry. Currently, some of the confirmed famous exhibitors include ACS, BASF, Borouge, Clariant, Conair, Covestro, DOW Chemical, Dow Corning, ExxonMobil, Fangli, Jwell, Lanxess, Polyplastics, Yizumi, Yudo, Yuntianhua, Zhejiang Shuanglin, Battenfeld-Cincinnati, KraussMaffei Berstorff, KEBA, DSM, TEIJIN, etc. Following are some exhibits highlights: 

Zhejiang Shuanglin Machinery's PPR drinking water pipes system is a new product widely used in developed countries nowadays. It uses homogeneous welding technology in cold and hot water transport. Its overall technical performance and economic indicators are far better than other similar products. In particular, it has remarkable hygienic properties which meet very high hygienic and environmental protection requirements from its manufacturing process to recycling process after discard. The product is heat-resistant, pressure-resistant, thermal insulation and energy saving, long lifespan and economical. 

Sichuan Goldstone Orient New Material Equipment Inc. will introduce its complete sets of technology and equipment of the large-diameter water with a metal reinforced polyethylene composite pipe. This is the first time in the world for such device to apply in an inverted U-shaped steel belt to reinforce the plastic pressure pipe, and can produce a water supply pipeline with a large-diameter of DN800mm. The pipeline applies the default path forming mold with socket, while the inner part filled with several layers of HDPE, the inverted U-shaped steel belt help reinforcing and together with the HDPE at the outer, such complex manufacturing process, has completed the tube manufacturing, socket manufacturing at the same time. While ensuring the pressure, it can significantly reduce the usage of plastics (40% – 50%), and lower a great amount of the cost of the pipe. 

Shanghai JWELL Extrusion Machinery's SJZ72/152 model is a high-speed extrusion machine alternative for ordinary dual-cone SJZ65/132 and SJZ80/156 extrusion machine models. It is mainly used in the manufacturing of PVC doors and windows sections, supporting high-speed extrusion or dual-mold production lines, window sill extrusion production lines, etc. It has the advantages of high output, stable extrusion and low energy consumption. 

Leistritz Machinery (Taicang)'s ZSE MAXX series twin-screw extrusion machine has the combined advantages of high torque and high-capacity. It is widely used in master batches, plastics modifications and in-line compounding, etc. As one of the smaller models in the new MAXX series, the ZSE 27MAXX of only 3 meters long embodies the many leaps technological innovation: Screw components volume increased to 1.66 OD/ID ratio; maximum torque increased to 12.5Nm/cm3; Screw diameter at 28.3mm, with new spline design achieving high total torque; Barrel cooling capacity increased 30% increase as coolant optimizes in the circulating cooling tank in the barrel. 

ECKART Asia Ltd, its SCONA TPPP 9212 GA is a highly effective adhesion modifier for polypropylene compounds with short and longglass fibers and fillers (ATH, Mg(OH)2, CaCO3) and polypropylene natural fiber compounds – even at a very low dosage. SCONA TPPP 9212 GA improves the mechanical properties of these compounds, especially in polypropylene natural fiber compounds. 

Albemarle Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will introduce the GreenCrest® – a New Polymeric Flame Retardant. The next generation of eco-friendly fire safety includes these characteristics: polymeric flame retardant developed as a sustainable alternative to HBCD for EPS and XPS foams; comparable flame retardant efficiency to HBCD in PS foam; good thermal stability; non-bioaccumulative; clean toxicity profile; enhanced recycle capability; be available in both powder and granular form; emissions to the environment are minimized, when combined with other good practices such as the Voluntary Emissions Control Action Program. 

Suzhou Dyun Recycling Machinery Co., Ltd. Will introduce the DYSSG Pipe Crusher and Shredder Unit, which is able to shred the PE, PP, PVC pipe with dia.1200mm, the length of 3-6m pipe can be shredded directly without cutting, and the rotary speed is slow and stable. Variety of pipes is put into the flat feeding tank, and the tanks closed automatically, and push the pipe by hydraulic into the center axis for shredding. The material after crushing is transported by conveyor belt for secondary crushing in order to get the requested granule. DYSSG shredder has the main advantage of energy saving safe and efficient, and the system is controlled by PLC center control system. 

In addition, visitors can discover a wide variety of environmental protection solutions in CHINAPLAS 2016, including new rigid PVC outdoor sheets with improved surface appearance which have excellent industrial grade weather resistance and UV resistance; CPVC resin which is promoted and developed rapidly in foreign countries; PU energy-efficient windows and doors, new parallel anisotropy twin-screw extrusion machine which is used in the manufacturing of CPVC and high-end UPVC pipes and PVC profiles; and also fully automatic pipe winding machine, counter-rotating conical twin-screw extrusion machine, co-extrusion pipe production equipment, etc.

CHINAPLAS 2016 has been committed to presenting the latest market trends and technology developments for insiders of the industry. Adsale, the show organizer, and VDMA (the German Engineering Federation) will co-organize the “Industry 4.0 Conference”. Many of German leading enterprises in automated machinery and equipment will participate in the forum and discuss on topics based on Industry 4.0, varying from the fundamental concepts to the practical engineering.
