Briefing on Investment Opportunities in Post-earthquake Reconstruction and Suppliers Sourcing of Sichuan Province, and Forum on Investment in the “City of the Plastic Building Materials Industry of China” will be held on May 19. With the popularization of plastic building materials, as well as the increase in awareness for environmental protection, it is believed that plastic building materials will see a new economic growth in the next 5 to 15 years. CHINAPLAS 2009 not only offers support for the reconstruction of Sichuan Province, it also provides a high quality sourcing platform to cater for the future development of the plastic building materials field.

Showcase of new technology demonstrating the wide application of plastics and rubber

With the development of processing technology, plastics and rubber are widely applied in every aspect of our daily lives, including automotive, electronics and electrical appliances, information technology and telecommunication, building and construction, packaging, medical equipment, and toys. At CHINAPLAS 2009, a lot of exhibitors are showcasing their new and advanced technologies for a variety of different industrial sectors. BASF is showing innovative technologies and products, which apply to industries such as the automotive, packaging, building and construction. ExxonMobil has teamed up with several machine manufacturers at the show to demonstrate various applications used in manufacturing and production lines. These demonstrations include applications in film for packaging, injection molding for consumers and industrial products.

More than 1,800 exhibits of advanced machines and a comprehensive range of raw materials are on display, and include such innovations as a new type of MRS Extruder by Gneuss, the latest extrusion line developed by B+C Extrusion Systems (Foshan), Ultra-mid high speed products and a new orange pigment, Sicopal Orange R K2430 by BASF, that can now be applied in the plastics field, an LSP-160PE Double-wall Corrugated Pipe Extrusion Line and an LSP-160PE Pipe Production Line by LianSu, the latest injection molding automation products by Bernecker + Rainer, an HN-125 dual-mode high performance injection molding machine by Fu Chun Shin, a new injection molding machine by Netstal, and a High Performance Pigment (HPP) by Clariant to name but a few.

Achieve win-win development by high quality concurrent events

This summit was held yesterday, May 17 and was the first of its kind in cross-strait regions to exchange market updates, developments and challenges facing the plastics industry. Industry professionals and practitioners congregated for this prime occasion to share new concepts, new experiences and new opportunities. In addition, over 40 technical seminars are also being held during the 4-day event.
