Coca-Cola using Starlinger machinery for bottle-to-bottle recycling in Indonesia

Iranpolymer/Baspar Coca-Cola continues to introduce 100% recycled PET bottles – excluding caps and labels – in markets across the world. Last year, its announcements focused in Asia, with debuts in India, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
In Indonesia, the recycled PET is supplied by PT Amandina Bumi Nusantara, a joint venture between Coca-Cola Distribution Indonesia, and Dynapack Asia, a plastic packaging company.
The recycling facility in the outskirts of Jakarta uses two Starlinger recoSTAR PET HC iV+ bottle-to-bottle recycling systems and processes 3,000 tons of collected PET bottles every month. It produces two grades of clear bottle-grade rPET pellets – one for carbonated beverages and one for spring water. In addition, the company supplies hot-washed flakes in clear and light blue colours.
