IranPolymer/ Baspar The automotive supplier Continental (Hanover) focuses the research and development of plastics for the thermal management of electric and hybrid vehicles in Germany at three locations. The experts in the new plastics competence center in Hamburg concentrate on extrusion technologies, especially for TPE-based pipe systems.
The technology center in Kohren-Sahlis, Saxony, which focuses on injection molding, blow molding and toolmaking, as well as the material testing and data collection for simulations, in Hannoversch Münden, also take over plastics expertise for electric and hybrid vehicles. The company, which operates other technology centers in China and North America, says that this means that the entire development process chain is offered in-house.
