LyondellBasell: Acquisition of a PP compounding facility in Malaysia

Baspar / Iranpolymer The plastics manufacturer LyondellBasell (LYB, Houston, Texas / USA) has acquired all shares in the compounder PolyPacific Polymers (Port Klang / Malaysia). The Malaysian company with production capacities for polyolefin compounds will now be renamed, announced LyondellBasell.

In connection with this transaction, the plastics group also withdrew from the previous joint venture PolyPacific (Dandenong / Australia). The previous 50:50 joint venture with a polyolefin compounding in the Australian city of Melbourne is now a 100 percent subsidiary of the previous partner, the Australian investment company Mirlex.
