{"id":100852,"date":"2024-05-11T15:40:48","date_gmt":"2024-05-11T12:10:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/?p=100852"},"modified":"2024-05-11T16:18:38","modified_gmt":"2024-05-11T12:48:38","slug":"eastman-and-dester-partner-on-reusable-airline-drinkware","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/en\/eastman-and-dester-partner-on-reusable-airline-drinkware\/","title":{"rendered":"Eastman and deSter partner on reusable airline drinkware"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><strong>Iranpolymer\/Baspar <\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Serviceware and food packaging developer deSter and speciality materials company Eastman\u00a0have linked to introduce reusable in-flight drinkware to the\u00a0airline industry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The packaging uses Tritan Renew, a speciality plastic manufactured with recycled molecular copolyester.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The development process breaks down plastic waste back into its basic chemical building blocks, allowing plastics to be repeatedly recycled.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the airline industry, plastics must be able to endure a relatively harsh cycle of transportation, onboard use and cleaning via commercial dishwashing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Having more items that can last through the airline\u2019s usage cycle while also retaining a high-end look will not only allow airlines to reduce waste but to maintain a premium experience for travellers.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Eastman commercial director for plastics Dirk DeSantis commented: \u201cThis partnership reflects our shared vision for driving the systems change necessary to create new solutions that eliminate single-use plastic waste for the circular economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">deSter sustainability director Philippe De Naeyer added: \u201cThe airline industry generates 6.1m tons of plastic waste per year, representing 2% of the world\u2019s plastic waste and more than 50% of aircraft waste.
