With over 75 years of experience in training and career development, Arburg will present the vast opportunities available in the plastics industry, ranging from apprenticeships to degree programs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;The future needs ideas \u2013 and people who can develop and implement them,\u201d said Dr Christoph Schumacher, vice president global marketing at Arburg. \u201cIf you want to shape the future, you&#8217;re in the right place in our industry. The plastics processing industry offers many brilliant opportunities to get personally involved in solving the important and burning issues of our time. This is where you can clearly find that &#8216;purpose&#8217; that people often talk about today,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\" dir=\"ltr\">A team of experts, accompanied by 30 Arburg trainees, will be available to discuss career pathways in plastics processing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\" dir=\"ltr\">Arburg wants to show young visitors \u2018how plastics and sustainability can be reconciled\u2019. Research by Deloitte shows that more than 70% of Gen Z and millennials surveyed consider prospective employers\u2019 environmental policies when job hunting. For a quarter, these considerations have impacted whether they accept the job.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\" dir=\"ltr\">Visitors to Arburg\u2019s stand will be able to engage with hands-on activities such as making dolphin figurines from recycled fishing nets using Arburg\u2019s Allrounder injection moulding machine. Visitors can also interact with the company\u2019s &#8220;arburgSOLUTIONworld&#8221; exhibit, showcasing videos on Arburg\u2019s training programs and sustainability initiatives.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Another highlight will be a talk by Andreas Fath, the \u2018swimming professor\u2019 from Furtwangen University who will discuss his efforts to combat water pollution and microplastics, following his recent swim along the Elbe River.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Arburg is offering\u00a0free tickets for the Career Day on its website, where attendees can also apply for training opportunities and degree programs.
