{"id":120712,"date":"2025-09-15T09:41:59","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T06:11:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/?p=120712"},"modified":"2025-09-17T09:07:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T05:37:42","slug":"lnj-greenpet-partners-sumitomo-on-r-pet-project-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/en\/lnj-greenpet-partners-sumitomo-on-r-pet-project-in-india\/","title":{"rendered":"LNJ GreenPET partners Sumitomo on r-PET project in India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><em>Iranpolymer\/Baspar <\/em><\/strong>NJ GreenPET, a division of India-based LNJ Bhilwara Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Japan-based Sumitomo Corporation to enhance the recycled polyethylene terephthalate (r-PET) sector in India.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The MoU covers commercial development, raw material procurement, marketing strategies and potential investment opportunities for LNJ GreenPET\u2019s upcoming r-PET project.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The companies will conduct a joint market study on the r-PET landscape in India to provide insights through market sizing, customer segmentation, technical assessments, supply chain benchmarking and regulatory feasibility analysis.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Its findings will be crucial for LNJ GreenPET as it prepares to commence commercial production in 2026.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Sumitomo will assist in sourcing r-PET flakes from Southeast Asia and other regions globally to facilitate the project\u2019s pre-production phase.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The partnership will extend to pre-marketing activities, customer engagement and the establishment of sales channels, catering to domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LNJ Bhilwara Group chairman Riju Jhunjhunwala stated: \u201cThis MoU with Sumitomo Corporation is a significant step towards strengthening India\u2019s circular economy ecosystem. By combining Sumitomo Corporation\u2019s global expertise with our vision for sustainable plastic recycling, we aim to create a robust r-PET value chain that addresses both domestic and global demand for sustainable packaging solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The collaboration aligns with the country\u2019s sustainability objectives and aims to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste by leveraging advanced technologies and international partnerships.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Sumitomo Green Chemical SBU unit general manager Yutaka Takamura stated: \u201cIt\u2019s an honour to partner up with LNJ GreenPET in advancing the r-PET sector in India.
