{"id":121444,"date":"2025-10-04T09:32:56","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T06:02:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/?p=121444"},"modified":"2025-10-06T12:28:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T08:58:08","slug":"vioneo-to-debut-fossil-free-plastics-at-k2025-trade-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/en\/vioneo-to-debut-fossil-free-plastics-at-k2025-trade-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Vioneo to debut fossil-free plastics at K2025 trade fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><em>Iranpolymer\/Baspar\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>vioneo, a producer of fossil-free plastics, is set to make its first appearance at K2025, where it will present its polyethylene and polypropylene made using green methanol.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">K2025 is a global trade exhibition dedicated to the plastics and rubber sectors, scheduled to take place in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany from 8 to 15 October 2025.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Vioneo, which is owned by AP Moller, stated that its plant in Antwerp, Belgium is capable of producing 300,000t of fossil-free virgin plastics annually.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This production process prevents up to 6 kg of CO\u2082 emissions for each kilogram of plastic manufactured.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Vioneo\u2019s facility will offer commercially viable polyethylene and polypropylene, which the company states can perform on par with conventional materials.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The company\u2019s technology utilises methanol-to-olefins processes with renewable feedstocks.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Vioneo chief commercial officer Katja Wodjereck stated: \u201cFor years I heard the argument that fossil-free polymer production can\u2019t scale \u2013 we show it can.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cConverters and brand owners can expect the same processing efficiency and product performance they rely on today, while seamlessly integrating fossil-free plastics into their existing manufacturing operations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt\u2019s a game-changer for sectors looking to reduce emissions without disruption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Vioneo emphasises that alternative production methods are essential in Europe to meet the demand for plastics sustainably. This is because recycling and reuse are expected to satisfy only about half global plastics demand by 2050.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to Vioneo, to sustainably meet the remaining demand, Europe must hasten the development of alternative production methods such as green-methanol-to-olefins (MTO), which can provide fossil-free virgin plastics on a large scale.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Vioneo is the first company to bring such a solution to the market.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><strong>packaging-gateway<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iranpolymer\/Baspar\u00a0 vioneo, a producer of fossil-free plastics, is set to make its first appearance at K2025, where it will present its polyethylene and polypropylene made using green methanol.
