From injection molding halls to film extrusion lines and recycling units, this year\u2019s focus revolved around three central pillars: <strong>process intelligence, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">More than <strong>3,000 exhibitors<\/strong> from around the world showcased innovations that clearly demonstrated the industry\u2019s readiness for a new technological leap.<\/p>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><strong> Injection Molding Machines<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>WITTMANN BATTENFELD \u2014 Intelligence in the Service of Precision<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Austrian company <strong>WITTMANN BATTENFELD<\/strong>, under the slogan <em>Smart Choices \u2013 Smart Savings<\/em>, presented a full range of <strong>intelligent injection molding systems<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIts flagship model, the <strong>MacroPower 500\/3400<\/strong>, with a compact design and rotating injection unit, exemplified precision engineering and space efficiency. The <strong>Unilog B8X control system<\/strong> had increased response speed and achieved <strong>micron-level production accuracy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The <strong>EcoPrimus 100<\/strong>, an all-electric cost-efficient machine, produced <strong>medical caps using a 24-cavity mold<\/strong>, while the <strong>SmartPower Insider<\/strong> integrated an entire production cell into a single compact unit. Alongside these, the <strong>MicroPower 15\/10<\/strong> demonstrated micro-part production with dimensions as small as <strong>0.04 mm<\/strong>, and the <strong>VPower 160<\/strong>, featuring a dual-tie-bar rotary table, provided high flexibility and accessibility for complex molds.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>KraussMaffei \u2014 Direct Compounding with CFP Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The <strong>KraussMaffei booth<\/strong> attracted major attention for introducing its <strong>Chopped Fiber Processing (CFP)<\/strong> technology. Injection speeds reached up to <strong>500 mm\/s<\/strong>, while <strong>MAV\/F PRO models<\/strong> achieved a record <strong>5-second cycle time<\/strong> in PP container production.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In parallel, Haitian introduced the new <strong>Jupiter series<\/strong>, integrated with the <strong>GoFactory MES system<\/strong>, enabling real-time process monitoring and analytics across production lines.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Chen Hsong \u2014 From Multi-Material Molding to iChen Artificial Intelligence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Chen Hsong<\/strong> from Hong Kong showcased three machine families:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><strong>DMZ<\/strong>, for multi-material molding with a servo-driven rotary platen;<\/li>\n<li><strong>SPARK<\/strong>, an all-electric series featuring patented <strong>ABC<\/strong> and <strong>ASRS<\/strong> technologies for exceptional precision and process stability;<\/li>\n<li><strong>MK6 PRO<\/strong>, designed for <strong>IML (In-Mold Labeling)<\/strong> decorative part production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At the core of the booth stood the <strong>iChen Smart Family<\/strong>, including <strong>iChen Factory<\/strong>, <strong>iChen Cloud<\/strong>, and <strong>AI Molder<\/strong>, a platform that utilized production data for <strong>predictive optimization and adaptive process control<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Arburg \u2014 Combining Precision with Compact Design<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Arburg<\/strong> drew attention with two new solutions:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>The <strong>ALLROUNDER 475 V<\/strong>, a vertical injection machine with a compact footprint and a servo-hydraulic system, achieved up to <strong>60% energy savings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Allrounder Cube 1800<\/strong> produced <strong>two-color caps<\/strong> using a <strong>4+4 cavity mold<\/strong> within a <strong>9-second cycle<\/strong>. The system significantly <strong>reduced mold change time<\/strong> and emphasized <strong>lower total cost of ownership (TCO)<\/strong> and <strong>energy consumption<\/strong> in light injection molding lines.<\/p>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Extrusion and Thermoforming<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Omipa \u2013 Sustainable and Versatile Extrusion<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Italian company <strong>Omipa<\/strong> exhibited extrusion lines for hollow profiles made of polypropylene and polycarbonate, with widths of up to 3,200 mm. Additional systems for <strong>CPLA<\/strong> and <strong>dry paper<\/strong> materials were also introduced as sustainable replacements for conventional plastics.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>CANNON \u2013 e-Forming and Artificial Intelligence for Energy Efficiency<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>CANNON<\/strong> introduced the <strong>e-Forming<\/strong> series as the most compact thermoforming system on the market. Its <strong>Easy Power Mapping<\/strong> system, driven by AI algorithms, optimized the temperature and energy consumption maps automatically. The <strong>Easy Tool Change<\/strong> function made tool replacement faster and safer.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Windm<\/strong><strong>\u00f6<\/strong><strong>ller &amp; H<\/strong><strong>\u00f6<\/strong><strong>lscher \u2013 Live Extrusion and Printing<\/strong><br \/>\nAt <strong>W&amp;H<\/strong>, the <strong>VAREX II<\/strong> blown film extruder and <strong>ALPHAFLEX<\/strong> flexographic press operated live three times a day. Meanwhile, the company\u2019s <strong>Lengerich<\/strong> technology center displayed new <strong>MDO<\/strong> lines for oriented films, which reduced neck-in and waste while improving film uniformity.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>COLINES \u2013 Multilayer Extrusion for Modern Packaging<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>COLINES<\/strong> presented the <strong>PRE500 MULTI<\/strong> line as an advanced solution for producing multilayer sustainable films. With lower energy consumption and compatibility with recycled polyolefins, the system addressed the fast-growing demand for green packaging applications.<\/p>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Blow Molding, Moldmaking, and Auxiliary Equipment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Kautex \u2013 Fully Electric Blow Molding<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Kautex Maschinenbau<\/strong> took a major step toward greener production with the debut of the <strong>KEB20 GREEN<\/strong> machine. The new <strong>ReadyMac 500 HD<\/strong>, with a throughput of 500 kg\/h and equipped with a laser filter, enabled high-quality post-consumer recycling. Companies such as <strong>SACMI, Omipa, CANNON, OMG<\/strong>, and <strong>WM<\/strong> pursued recovery through sustainability, energy efficiency, and design-driven innovation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>An Industry in the Process of Reinvention<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The <strong>K 2025<\/strong> fair was more than a showcase of machinery\u2014it was a portrait of an industry redefining itself in the face of environmental, digital, and economic transitions.
