{"id":123238,"date":"2025-10-29T09:33:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T06:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/?p=123238"},"modified":"2025-11-02T20:38:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T17:08:31","slug":"amcor-hits-10-pcr-plastics-goal-in-fy25-and-makes-sustainability-gains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/polymervapooshesh.ir\/en\/amcor-hits-10-pcr-plastics-goal-in-fy25-and-makes-sustainability-gains\/","title":{"rendered":"Amcor hits 10% PCR plastics goal in FY25 and makes sustainability gains"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><em>Iranpolymer\/Baspar <\/em><\/strong>Amcor has published its fiscal 2025 Sustainability Report, confirming it met its global target of using 10% post\u2011consumer recycled (PCR) plastic by 2025 \u2014 reported as 218,000 metric tonnes of recycled plastic.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The packaging solutions provider, which finalised its\u00a0merger with\u00a0Berry Global earlier in the year, also detailed progress across other environmental priorities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The company reported that, by the end of the fiscal year 2025 (FY25), 72% of its packaging production by weight was designed for recyclability: 96% of rigid packaging, 49% of flexible packaging and 100% of speciality cartons.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Amcor\u2019s research and development teams have developed recycle\u2011ready options for 96% of its flexible packaging portfolio.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It recorded further movements against its sustainability metrics.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Since 2021, the company reports a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its own operations, which it attributes to a decarbonisation roadmap and keeps it on course for near\u2011term and net\u2011zero science\u2011based targets.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In FY25, the company doubled its use of renewable electricity, which now represents 30% of total energy consumption.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">75% of its operational waste was recycled during the year and site\u2011level projects helped reduce water use.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Amcor chief sustainability officer David Clark stated: \u201cOur progress demonstrates we can deliver on our ambitions through innovation, collaboration and advocacy across the value chain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The report highlights product and portfolio developments aimed at advancing circularity.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Amcor expanded its AmFiber paper\u2011based packaging range for items such as instant coffee pouches and trail mix bars, and introduced new formats for AmPrima, AmLite and HeatFlex solutions described as bringing recycle\u2011readiness to technically demanding flexible packaging applications.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The company also cited the launch of an AmSky recycle\u2011ready blister pack for pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In October 2025, Amcor launched AmSecure \u2013 a proprietary amorphous polyethylene terephthalate material\u00a0developed for\u00a0thermoformed trays and rollstock used in medical and pharmaceutical applications.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><strong>packaging-gateway<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iranpolymer\/Baspar Amcor has published its fiscal 2025 Sustainability Report, confirming it met its global target of using 10% post\u2011consumer recycled (PCR) plastic by 2025 \u2014 reported as 218,000 metric tonnes of recycled plastic.
