In an interview with IRANPLAST exhibition daily, Ali Kiani, the managing director of Behin Energy Saramad Company, one of the exhibition sponsors, talked about his company activities.
\nPasargad Energy Development Company is one of the country\u2019s biggest private companies in the field of oil, gas and petrochemical upstream industries. This company possesses special equipment for drilling oil wells including two drilling rigs, three 1000-Megawatt power plants in Khoy, Orumiyeh and Mashhad, and many other petrochemical and refinery subsidiaries. This company with a 1000 milliard toman capital is an important and influential company in the field of country\u2019s energy, oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
\nBehin Energy Saramad Company was established in 2012 in accordance with Pasargad Energy Development Company\u2019s main goals. The Behin Energy Company\u2019s strategies are:
\n– Having a continued activity in the domestic and international oils, gas and petrochemical markets
\n-Boosting industry productivity through raw materials supply chain management
\n-Playing an effective role in developing non-oil exports
\nThe company\u2019s board comprises of eminent managers in the country\u2019s polymer and petrochemical industry: Mohammad-Hadi Rahbari, Touraj Tazeh-Bahar, Morteza Morei, and Kia Kiani.
\n\u201cI entered the petrochemical industry as financial manager of Bakhtar petrochemical Company in 2004. Since then I have been working in private sector of petrochemical and polymer industry in the fields of investing, producing and trading. I have studied industrial economy in the university and have a post graduated degree in the field of energy economy,\u201d he said. \u201cThe main activities of Behin Energy Company include providing chemicals, catalysts and equipment for petrochemical, oil and gas industries; providing raw materials for companies in polymer, plastic and chemical industry; investing in producing units; and offering trading and customs services.\u201d
\nHe believes that IRANPLAST is a well known exhibition in the Middle East, tough unfortunately in the past years the quality of the exhibitions was so low. \u201cI hope this year the organizing team\u2019s efforts and planning will result in positive changes in the quality of the exhibition.\u201d He thinks that the associations in the private sector of the industry should collaborate with National Petrochemical Company in organizing the exhibition. He also believes that holding some meetings between managers and specialists in different fields (such as between petrochemical industry managers, sales and trading managers of country\u2019s plastics industry, investors in petrochemical, plastics and polymer industries, etc.) as well as the country\u2019s officials\u2019 visit to the exhibition can be effective in the exhibition success.
\n\u201cTo create resistance economy, emerge from recession and boost the productivity the country needs the help of big powerful trading companies to provide raw materials and equipment for both petrochemical companies and downstream industries. Accordingly, Behin Energy Company attends the exhibition to offer new ideas in fulfilling these needs. We will introduce new methods to solve the raw materials providing problems for both upstream and downstream petrochemical, polymer and plastics industries,\u201d he said. \u201cThough the current situation of country\u2019s polymer industry is not desirable, by a good collaboration between country\u2019s officials and economic activists and by considering the country\u2019s economic priorities, we can compensate our retardations and move towards a satisfactory situation.
