It\u2019s very encouraging to see the growing use of recycled content in more and more products,\u201d said Ton Emans, President of Plastics Recyclers Europe.<br \/>\nThe awards ceremony drew an enthusiastic audience. In a packed conference theatre, the winners in all seven award categories were announced and called to the stage for the official photograph and to accept their trophies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">They are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\" ul-tab-spacing\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Automotive, Electrical &amp; Electronic Product: Electrolux 700 GreenZone MaxiSpace fridge freezer by Electrolux and Coolrec<\/li>\n<li>Building &amp; Construction Product: Ridgidrain by Polypipe Civils &amp; Green Urbanisation<\/li>\n<li>Household &amp; Leisure Product: Gardena Eco Line by Husqvarna Group<\/li>\n<li>Plastic Packaging Product: Container for fertilizer made of recycled plastics by PreZero Polymers GmbH, Kunststoff Recycling Gr\u00fcnstadt &amp; Compo GmbH<\/li>\n<li>Product Technology Innovation: Avient Color Prediction Service by Avient Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Recycling Machinery Innovation: Two-stage process for more energy efficient plastics recycling by ENGEL Austria GmbH<\/li>\n<li>Plastics Recycling Ambassador: Manfred Hackl from EREMA Group GmbH<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\" dir=\"ltr\">The winner of the Automotive, Electrical or Electronic Product is the<strong>\u00a0Electrolux 700 GreenZone MaxiSpace fridge freezer<\/strong>, featuring Coolrec\u2019s High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) recycled polymer. The judges acknowledged this is an outstanding example of today\u2019s evolving use of high quality recycled plastic.<br \/>\nIn the Building &amp; Construction Product category the winner is<strong>\u00a0Ridgidrain by Polypipe Civils &amp; Green Urbanisation<\/strong>, who have successfully paired community action with circularity. A \u201cwash &amp; squash\u201d campaign within the local community where Polypipe manufactures Ridgidrain has helped the company to source high quality post-consumer waste from HDPE milk and bleach bottles.<br \/>\nIn the Household &amp; Leisure Product category, covering all types of domestic and leisure goods, this year\u2019s winner is<strong>\u00a0Husqvarna Group\u2019s Gardena Eco Line\u00a0<\/strong>high-quality gardening tools made with recycled materials, which bring a new meaning to sustainability in the garden.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s Plastic Packaging Product category winner, a fertilizer container made of recycled plastics by\u00a0<strong>PreZero Polymers, Kunststoff Recycling and Compo<\/strong>\u00a0evidences today\u2019s advances in the circular use of plastics, even in technically challenging applications. Made from high-quality recycled plastics from household waste, every part of the multi-part container can also be recycled after the labels are easily removed.<br \/>\n<strong>Avient Corporation<\/strong>\u00a0is the winner of the Product Technology Innovation award with its Avient Color Prediction Service. The judges were particularly impressed by its potential to open the door to the use of plastic recyclates in an increasing range of aesthetic applications. The Color Prediction Service can digitally illustrate the colour possibilities or limitations of certain types of post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, simplifying the colour decision-making process during product development and launch.<br \/>\nThe winner of the Recycling Machinery Innovation award is\u00a0<strong>ENGEL Austria\u00a0<\/strong>for its two-stage process for more energy efficient plastics recycling, a brilliant example of how technological advances are improving the efficiency and circularity of plastics manufacturing. ENGEL\u2019s new two-stage process eliminates granulation from the plastics recycling process, as regrind is processed directly in the injection moulding machine in the form of flakes.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s winner of the coveted Plastics Recycling Ambassador is\u00a0<strong>Manfred Hackl, CEO of EREMA Group<\/strong>, described by the judges as the face of the industry\u2019s technology leader.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIn the six years these awards have been running, it has been so pleasing to follow the advances that are being made in the recycling of plastics for high quality, branded consumer goods in everyday use,\u201d said Matt Barber, Global Events Director, Crain Communications. \u201cCongratulations to all seven of our winners.\u201d<br \/>\nFittingly, the trophy presented to each winner has a 3D printed base made from 100% recycled ABS plastic car dashboards and features a multi-colour top, laser cut from compressed HDPE beach clean-up bottle caps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\" dir=\"ltr\">The Plastics Recycling Awards Europe are organised jointly by Plastics Recyclers Europe and Crain Communications, organisers of PRSE.
