As a member of Cyclyx, it will be able to take part in customised takeback programmes and innovations, including plastic waste-based circular feedstock specifications tailored to its specific product pathways. This should help the almost-century old company work towards its goal of diverting 75% of its waste from landfills.<br \/>\nCyclyx draws on over 1500 post-use plastic chemical characterisations to assesses each source of waste plastic to understand its chemical profile. It then uses artificial intelligence and big data to sort those profiles into the various mechanical and chemical recycling pathways that the plastics can be used for. Finally, the company aggregates and pre-processes the products according to costumers\u2019 needs.<br \/>\nThe resulting products include recycled polystyrene (PS), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP), and polyethylene (PE). Cyclyx processes are ISSC PLUS certified, ensuring their compliance with sustainability and traceability requirements along the supply chain.<br \/>\n\u201cOur ability to deliver tailored solutions will be a critical enabler for our value chain partners to scale up projects with real environmental impact,\u201d said Michael Roberts, Chief Innovation Officer at Teknor Apex. \u201cJoining Cyclyx, a network also committed to accelerating the implementation of circular solutions, promotes confidence, transparency, accessibility and consistency \u2013 all key attributes of both organizations and our sustainability journeys.\u201d<br \/>\nCyclyx was founded in 2020 by advanced chemical recycler\u00a0Agilyx\u00a0and by\u00a0ExxonMobil Chemical, which owns 25% of the company.
