Ensinger automated the manufacturing processes of custom cast stock shapes

Ensinger produces semi-finished plates and rods in the TECAST product line on modern facilities in the Cham factory. Thanks to flexible production and smart logistics, output and delivery periods have been further reduced.

Ensinger has now largely automated the manufacturing processes of custom cast stock shapes. The new facilities at the Cham production location permit the flexible and efficient production of all plates and rods from the TECAST product line. Fixed programmed production sequences and fully automatic testing for cavities ensure a consistently high standard of quality which benefits customers during further processing.
Transition to different plate thicknesses takes minimal time, and shapes ca be infinitely adjusted with just the click of a mouse. This allows Ensinger to manufacture standard products at a high output rate and offer availability at short notice.
Also, in the field of non-standard products, the Cham factory can respond quickly and flexibly to specific customer needs, as the plate thickness can be altered precisely to the millimetre in line with the dimensions of the end product. The millimetre-precise adjustment of material thickness makes economic sense, as the machining process takes less time and less waste is produced. This results in major savings in terms of component costs.
